Compassion. Clarity. Skills That Make a Difference.
Mental health crises don’t wait for the right moment. They show up seemingly “out of the blue” in classrooms, boardrooms, job sites, break rooms, Zoom calls—anywhere people are trying to do their best while carrying more than anyone can see.
Most employees, managers, educators, and caregivers want to help.
They just don’t know how.
That’s where Annie Valentine comes in.
Annie Valentine: Mental Health Educator, Trainer, Consultant
With more than 20 years of experience as a mental health educator, Annie equips workplaces, schools, and communities with the skills to recognize early signs of struggle, respond safely and compassionately, and build environments where people feel supported — not overwhelmed or alone.
Before founding Annie Valentine Consulting, she spent over a decade at the University of Vermont, leading campus-wide mental health initiatives. She’s trained more than 1,000 faculty, staff, and students in Adult Mental Health First Aid, implemented trauma-aware programs, guided suicide and eating disorder prevention, identification and intervention efforts, and supported diverse communities, including LGBTQ+ students, BIPOC students, international learners, student-athletes, and first-generation college students.
Her work combines:
Evidence-based education
Trauma-aware practice
Cultural and identity competence
Lived experience as an eating disorder survivor
Calm, grounded facilitation
A deep belief in the power of early connection and support
Her approach is never scripted, performative, or “checklist-based.”
Every training is customized—because every organization, classroom, parent, and team is different.
